Íslensk ættleiðing er eina félagið á Íslandi sem hefur löggildingu stjórnvalda til að annast milligöngu um ættleiðingar erlendis frá. Félagið var stofnað af áhugafólki um málefnið árið 1978 og hefur reksturinn lengst af verið borinn uppi af sjálfsaflafé og miklu sjálfboðastarfi félagsmanna.

Árgjald Íslenskrar ættleiðingar er 4.000 krónur fyrir einstakling.
